We had a very windy night and blustery, windy and drizzly day today, so we were house bound!  It gave me a chance to do some of the domestic things, like make my granola so that lasts us for another couple of weeks.  We'll be ready to get out and check out the Valley of Fire tomorrow, weather permitting.  We are getting the cold front from the northwest, and it will meet up with the warm front in the Midwest and we are just thankful, that we aren't in that area right now.  They are predicting tornadoes in many areas, so I hope they are wrong.  We are to have cool temps here this week, and we look forward to that.  We love the 60's and low 70's for hiking .We have a week here, and glad that we do, as it looks like we may have some more interruptions with the weather.  We will hopefully, have pictures to post tomorrow.

  1. You guys are having way too much fun- the reality of Wisconsin in April- hot then cold then cold and hot again- rain-maybe- has really sunk in- Cheryl and I have to go to Denver Saturday to return our son's dog that we have baby sat for since we brought him back to Wisconsin on our way through there from Arizona-he would have had to go in a kennel for a few days while they went to a wedding in Iowa so we adopted him for a couple of weeks- we already had to go back there to baby sit (referee) next week while our daughter in law goes to a meeting in Nashville so this was not as dumb an idea as it may sound. Heinz is a good boy- but since our dog Baby died on April 1st, it will be nice to have the bed all to ourselves for the first time in ten years. (By the way- Alleged Father is what I use for my sons blogs- you know, mom's baby, daddy's maybe!)
